Session 11: Design & Content for Offline Events

Learn and practice a basic checklist and skills for offline design

Content creation from an on-ground event requires a special kind of agility and skillsets. In this session you will get a sense of what is required when you are at an event and you need to draw more participants into that specific event.

Continued from the m01: Content Creation page
A community of 3000 people have come together on MG Road, near all the major media houses, to put pressure on a top university to add courses. There are many people in traditional clothing; some dance and theatre groups; many with loud speakers; all with police support.

Based on the following information:
At 1 pm the crowd is less than 100 people. There are 3000 people required to fill up the space and have a truly impressive impact
that is likely to steeply increase the possibility of these courses being introduced.
At 3 pm the crowd has hit 1000 people, but there are still a lot more people needed to hit 3000 people.
At 4.30 pm, Deepika Pakode comes to the event and speaks on stage.
At 6 pm, the audience headcount hits 3500 people. The Vice Chancellor and team come on stage and say that this proposition will be seriously considered after a deeper study

Exercise:

To bring more people to the event:
1. Make 3 Live Tweets. One tweet must have one photo

  • Tweet 1

  • Tweet 2

  • Tweet 3

2. Create 1 Instagram Story
• Put the text for the story here
3. A 10-sentence script for the post-event video

Please note:
The exercises are in the Comms4Dev Handbook (2024 Editon).
